Lost Username?
Your URL and your membername are one in the same.
If your URL is http://user.tripod.com, then "user" is your member name.

When I login, it says I'm no longer an authorized user.
This is generally caused by one of a number of things:
The obvious would be that one of the Terms of Service that we enforce, has been violated.
Terms of Service with Tripod and Lycos were agreed upon when registering your account.
Violations of our Terms of Service will result in an immediate suspension of the account, while the account is reviewed.
Another reason, may be that before building your site, you loaded the majority of your multimedia content prior to building your site (images, animations, videos, flash movies, etc.)
When building your site, be sure to only upload your multimedia content, as you're building.
Loading all of the files before you build your site, may trigger our system to shut your account down.
If you feel that this was done in error, you can request Customer Service to review your account by clicking the Ask a Question tool at the top of your screen.
Customer Service reserves the right to enforce the Terms of Service policies at its discretion.

I have a new email address, how do I get my login information?
To update your Registered Email Address, please submit the following information to us, using the Ask a Question tool at the top of the screen:
- Tripod URL
- Registered First Name
- Registered Last Name
- Registered E-mail Address
- New E-mail Address
- Registered Street Address (Including Zip Code, State, and Country
- Date of Birth
Once this information is received and verified to your account, we will make the change and email your password to the updated email address.
PLEASE NOTE: Tripod reserves the right to refuse a request if we believe that the request is fraudulent.

Do I need cookies enabled to login?
Yes, to login to Tripod, you'll need to have cookies enabled for Tripod, and Lycos, in your browser.
If you're unsure how to enable cookies for certain sites, please read over "Help" documentation that came with your browser.

Should I log out when I'm done editing my site?
Failure to do so, could allow someone to to access your account, and jeopardize the well-being of your Tripod site, and account.

"This Page Cannot Be Displayed" error.
Please verify that the settings for your software applications are set to allow cookies from our website(s), as well as not restricting access to those same website(s).
If you are unsure how to use that particular software application, we would suggest that you contact the manufacturer/provider of that software, as they are more familiar with it, and would be able to assist you better than we could.
