How did SideSearch get on my computer? 

SideSearch is provided by a number of Lycos' partners, as a service to their clients.

Due to the list of partners being so large, it is hard to pinpoint exactly what site it was downloaded from.

How do I remove the SideSearch from my computer? 

If Lycos Sidesearch is appearing on the left hand side of your browser, here are the uninstall instructions to remove the partner that is causing Lycos Sidesearch to appear:

Uninstall instructions:

-Close all but one browser window.
-Type in the following URL into the address bar of the one open browser:

http://www.fastfind.org/unall.exe

-A File Download box will appear. Click "Open.".
-Follow any on screen instructions.
-Restart your computer when the uninstall process is complete
